Good news for the sole: Contrary to popular wisdom, people can get the same health benefits from walking 7000 steps a day as they do from walking 10,000 paces, according to a comprehensive review and meta-analysis published in The Lancet Public Health.


Sweetener intake, including aspartame and sucralose, was associated with an increased risk for early puberty in children, particularly in those who were genetically predisposed. Sex-specific effects were noted, with sucralose showing a stronger association with early puberty in boys and glycyrrhizin, sucralose, and other sugars in girls.

The COSMOS study was a large, randomized, double-blind study done to settle the issue once and for all. Sure, it was funded by the chocolate industry, and it tested a cocoa bean extract rather than the type of chocolate you buy at the store, but close enough, I guess. Anyway, it was negative. No cardiovascular benefits, no cognitive benefits, completely without merit or justification. Darn!!

Child ingested nicotine pouches are up 700% in the last four years.  Keep you nicotine pouches put away as if they were a medicine or a narcotic.  It either shows we are careless with our pouches or so many more people are using these sources of nicotine. Either way, it is avoidable. Please be careful.
